The GE Profile 30" electric cooktop I purchased for my newly renovated kitchen has not worked since September 23rd! The appliance was purchased in June 2017 and installed by the end of the month!
It blows the brand new breaker on the brand new electric panel. Certified electrician has been out 3 times to recheck wiring and connections....all correct. Today, November 8th, will be the fourth visit by repairman. Please understand the cooktop has not functioned since September and it is now November and Thanksgiving (for which I cook for a family of 15 to 20) is in two weeks.
When you call for resolution or action, they are sorry for the "inconvenience". I call it more than inconvenient, I call it brutal, negligent, incompetent, so far beyond inconvenient. Having to miss work ($), take care of elderly parents, and manage a household with, now, what is simply a "decorative appliance" is beyond any words.
On the positive side, GE' policy remains consistent.... they continue to JUST NOT CARE!
