I have an extended warranty on my GE refrigerator. When it started to misbehave, I called the number for service.
I was routed, after 2 or 3 go-arounds with an automated menu that was no help, to a person with an accent so thick I could not understand her - I thought maybe *** or ***. Eventually, after some irrelevant questions, she gave me a number to call. It was the number that forwarded me to her. I called again and got another incomprehensible agent, who also wanted to pass me on, but I insisted she refer me to a technician.
Don’t tell me - based on their website, they are based in *** or ***. The tech came and fixed the problem.

- Washer stopped Sep 25, 2025; out of warranty by over a year.
- They said a 10-year motor warranty; shipped wrong parts and unapproved facilities.
Get a hold of somebody at the corporate level. I am sending in all the invoices for the repair on my washer and they are going to look at refunding my money. So it adds up today it’s still not resolved until I get them all the invoices so it’s still in progress on the refund.
They told us the washer was out of warranty by a little over a year, but then when I told them they had a 10-year warranty on the motor, they sent a motor. But then I found out that one of the places they gave me the name of was not an authorized GE repair facility. They have shipped out the wrong part three times, and I guess I'm responsible for paying the repair place because only the motor is under warranty. They have no numbers that you can reach a GE person to discuss reimbursement, and the policy that the employees are given states they are not authorized.
They have no phone numbers for corporate to give customers. How convenient is that? So, from September 25 up to today, I still do not have a washer that works, and no one can help reimburse me for all my expenses because of other *** washers. Oh, did I mention that the first motor they sent me was for 100 LP conversion kits?
When I called them about that, they sent me a motor for my dryer. So evidently, the people they have pulling parts in their warehouses are a little bit incompetent. When I just got through talking to someone over there, customer care, who was supposed to be a manager, told me there was not a thing they could do about my out-of-pocket money for having to pay a repair place to come out and put these incorrect parts on my washer. I guess that's not their fault.
I have included what I received for a motor for my washer. By the way, as of today, my washer is still not fixed.

Terrible quality and service
- Glass cooktop cracked and needs replacement.
- Oven element stopped working.
- Burner switch burnt out and out of stock; service unresponsive.
I purchased a GE 30 inch electric range Model GRF40HSVSS in November of 2024. It is now December of 2025 and here is what has broken so far; The glass cooktop has cracked and needed to be replaced.
One of the heating elements in the oven stopped working and need to be replaced. Now there surface control switch to control a burner is burnt out. The switch is out of stock, my guess is that many others have already had to make the same replacement. When working with customer service, they have stop replying to messages to resolve the issue.
DO NOT BUY GE! The products and service are trash.

Dont buy their refrigerator and get stuck with a service contract that means nothing when they cant fix it and expect you to exchange a refrigerator online where you cant get it to open

I made an appointment in regards to my GE washing machine. I received an appointment for today between 8:00 and 12:00.
I've been waiting several days for this appointment to come up. Someone from dispatch called my number this morning. Let the phone ring one time as I picked it up. They hung up.
I continued to call the number that was called to my phone. I continued to get a recording. Finally, I just about 915 central time. I called in and spoke with someone.
Joel and he was telling me that my appointment had been canceled and rescheduled for next week. I feel like that's unacceptable because no one informed me and who was going to. Let me know. You know I would have been sitting here waiting when I could have been making errands or taking care of some other things.
I took off work today to make this appointment because I do need to wash my clothes but I wanted to let someone know that Joel also hung up on me once I told him I was going to escalate a complaint so I think this is just overall unacceptable. My name is Jill McNeil. I live at {{Redacted}}.

The freestanding range we just bought came out of the box with a large dent in the oven handle. The box is not damaged.
It must have come from the factory that way.

Subject: LOUSY Dishwasher
(this was Third request for help others? no reply!!) First of June 2021 your slate streamline dw was installed in my condo by a handyman recommended by the dealer in The Dalles Oregon.
Not long after it began to be hit & miss whether it would start first time.
I went to The Dalles during what was posted as business hours & it was closed, a message was posted to call a cell #.
No answer, so I left a note. Waited several days, no response, so I left v-mail. A day later she left me an exasperated-sounding message telling me (what the owners manual mentioned about 50 times)... "You're supposed to TAP the panel, not push!"
That really annoyed me, bc I'd been doing just THAT.
The problem escalated, another v-mail went unanswered, so the handyman was my next choice, but he said it would void my warrantee if he worked on it.
Next I contacted at least 3 other appliance stores...
No help:

This has become a Huge issue in my life! I broke my back in a bike wreck & cannot get the required fusion done, first bc of the covid surge limited surgeries to only life-threatening cases, now I'm down on the list of the backlog.
Hand-washing my few dishes is so painful I've resorted to Chinet brand paper plates (the most expensive, but the only compostable available). Plus it prevents me from having dinner guests, and I love to do that often.
I know this is long, but your phone# for appliances has been connected to a FAX; the 800 gave me the Verizon squawk & "this #is no longer in service"
My last hope was the # listed for your office (407-378-****) which now belongs to some other business!
If you want the truth... I want this dishwasher Gone!
I'm 72 & live on S.S. of $1200/mo. Were it not for the stimulus $ I'd still be struggling w/my 1986 vintage dw that needed everything pre-washed & still did a lousy job! But IT Started!
I paid $699 + $100 installation, and would expect someone to remove it, and reimburse that whole amount.
My biggest regret is that I did not check Consumer's Report (!!), and instead decided to 'buy local!'

Due to the fact of fire happen in the refrigerator it's taking a month for them to order another one so in the meantime I have to figure out whether to purchase another one or just to go without a fridge

- The Lowes cooktop was too small for the hole in the marble top.
- 48 hours later an electrician arrived; no exchange or credit offered.
The cooktop from Lowes was too small for the hole cut in my marble cabinet top. I gave the salesman the measurements for the hole.
He ordered a cooktop with a top that smaller than the hole.
By the time it took to get an electrician 48 hours had passed. No exchange or credit.
