We purchased this dryer GTD42EASJ2WW just over 1 month ago. It has never worked.
The door was broken and the dryer took 5 hours to dry a load of clothes along with the fact it sound like a freight train. The tech has been out three times
1. first call tested dryer and ordered parts - still does not work and sounds like a freight train
2. replaced door and blower thermostat - still does not work and sounds like a freight train
3.
replaced drum glide bearings - still does not work and sounds like a freight train
Over 1 month now without a functioning dryer and today we were asked to clean out the vent that there was some lint. we pulled the venting apart and found nothing al all. I called customer relations again and was told I i could make another service call.
This is the WORST customer service i have ever encountered. I just want to return this unit and buy something that actually works.

After 5 weeks tech came by and resolved all issues. But, broken right out of the box?

Poor service on broken oven
Purchased oven in November 2020.
The oven stopped working in September 2021 and a service call was placed to have a repair tech come out.
Two weeks later a tech came out and confirmed the oven was not working and ordered new parts.
New parts were delivered and tech return two weeks later and found that the wrong parts were delivered and he reordered.
New parts were delivered and two weeks later the tech returned again and found that the wrong parts were delivered again. He called consumer relations and was told that they were going to look into replacing the oven because of the multiple visits to get it repaired.
He told me a rep from consumer relations would contact me within 12 to 24 hours. As of late the next day still no call from consumer relations. So I called them that day.
The CR rep asked me for the case number which I did not have because no one gave me one. She said a case manager would contact me on Monday.
By late Monday I still had not received a call so I called consumer relations again and talk to person number two.
She told me the decision had been made not to replace the oven and that the case manager would call me on Tuesday morning.
As of Tuesday afternoon still no call so I called consumer relations for the third time.
Consumer relations person number three told me that the parts for Repair had been shipped and received at my home the previous Friday. We told her no parts had been sent to us and she said she would investigate where the parts were. I asked when the case manager was going to call and me person number three said the case manager would not call because now they had to figure out where the parts were.
This rep also said that she could see that our appliance was out of warranty and it showed purchase in February 2020. I told her that was incorrect and it had been purchased in November 2020 and we were still under warranty for the first year and that we had an extended warranty for five more years.
She said that since the record showed it was purchased in February 2020 it was out of warranty we would have to deal with the extended warranty company.
She seemed happy to tell us that. I have now emailed her the documentation that shows the purchase was November 2020.
Hopefully they will update their records.
She told me that either she or the case manager will need to call or email me later this day to update me on what they found about parts. As of 5 PM Ive received no call and no email from either the rep or the case manager.
We have been without a working oven for almost 2 months and here it is two days before Thanksgiving.
For years we have had Thanksgiving dinner at our house for the entire family.
But not this year.
Preferred solution: Rapid, correct, repair or replacement.
Complaint
Ive already written what was going on, but everything was erased when I left my phone to get a glass of water. Im now aware of GEs website/internet problems.
The top loading washer, #GTW335ASN2WW, I recently bought will NOT or canNOT do what it should do.
When, after three days of trying to reach a real person, someone finally answers my phone call, I am shuffled around to various individuals who, for the most part, are rude, condescending, uncaring and who canNOT help me.
Many of these people should NOT be in customer service.JMHO
What can be done with a newly-purchased, top-loading washing machine whose design and operation are flawed? Im NOT allowed to return/exchange it so now Ive paid almost $700 for an appliance that I canNOT use.
Now I will never buy anything made by GE. The risk is too great. Supposedly, GE is doing a good job getting on board with technology and digital use.
Not so. JMHO
I would appreciate anyone with good GE corporate phone numbers to please share them with me.

I believe the warranty process that GE has is deceptive. They say they protect customers against defects in their products, but the rules they provide make it very difficult to benefit from the warranty.
I purchased a GE dryer for my rental property.
We did not immediately use the machine, but when we did it was loud-. We scheduled an appointment for within 30 days of purchase, but the technician did not show up. So we rescheduled eventually 50 days after delivery a tech came. We found out that the issue was due to a dent in the front and side panel of the machine which causes the drum to rub and make an awful noise.
He told me he could not fix it since the visit was not within 30 days of purchase. He suggested I call customer service. We called customer service and they say we should have notified them within 7 days of purchase. Thats crazy since it takes at multiple weeks to schedule an appointment and they might not even show up.
Now were sitting with a bill that is almost as much as the machine.
This isnt right.
GE has created a system where consumers take on the risk for defects in their products. The Warranty makes the customer feel comfortable making a large purchase, but they make it very difficult to use.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution
User's recommendation: Second, when you buy a new appliance, test it immediately and loudly demand fast service if it doesn't work how it should.
